Hi! I am Hamayoon, a PhD student at Saarland University in Germany, supervised by Prof. Ingmar Weber. My research focuses on adapting generative AI to support the education of marginalized populations in underserved contexts. My interests also include HCI, Human-AI Interaction, and Computational Social Science. I hold a master’s degree in information technology from LPU - India and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Afghanistan. Before joining Saarland University, I accumulated eight years of teaching and administrative experience at Parwan University and the Ministry of Higher Education in Afghanistan.

[May 2023] Joined Interdisciplinary Institute for Societal Computing as a Research Assistant.
[Dec 2022] Got PhD Prep Phase Scholarship from Saarbrucken Graduation School of Computer Science and moved to Germany.
[Nov 2019] Appointed as Head of the Information Technology Department at the Computer Science Faculty of Parwan University.
